Terms of Use

Last updated 6 July 2026

These Terms set out the rules for using JobBoard.ng. Please read them. They are written to keep the platform honest and safe for both job seekers and employers.

1. Who we are

JobBoard.ng ("we", "us", "the platform") is an online job board and career platform operated in Nigeria. It is owned and operated by Bolrach Technologies Limited. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, applications and services we provide.

By creating an account, posting a job, applying to a job, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Accounts and sign-in

You sign in through Authvio, our shared identity service. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything done through your account. You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the legal working age in your location, to use the platform. One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone or misrepresent who you are.

3. Rules for job seekers

When you build a profile or apply to jobs, everything you submit, including your CV, experience and skills, must be true and your own. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share.

Your profile and CV are shared with an employer when you apply to their job. Apply only to roles you are genuinely interested in.

4. Rules for employers

You may post only real, lawful jobs for genuine vacancies at your organisation. The following are strictly prohibited and will lead to removal and possible suspension:

  • Charging any fee to applicants to apply, be considered, be trained, or be hired.
  • Fake, misleading, discriminatory, or duplicate job postings.
  • Multi-level marketing, pyramid schemes, or "pay to earn" offers dressed up as jobs.
  • Collecting BVN, bank details, card data or payment from applicants during hiring.
  • Posting on behalf of a company you are not authorised to represent.

Verification badges are granted after we check company details and documents. A badge is a signal of trust, not a guarantee, and we may review, pause or revoke it at any time.

5. The no-fee rule

A legitimate employer will never ask a job seeker to pay money to get a job. We do not permit it, we actively screen for it, and we remove employers who breach it. If any employer asks you for payment, do not pay, and report it to us immediately.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the platform. In particular you will not scrape or harvest data, attempt to break or overload our systems, upload malware, post unlawful, harassing or offensive content, or use another person's account.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms or put other users at risk.

7. Content and intellectual property

You keep ownership of the content you submit, such as your CV or job posts, and you grant us a licence to host, display and process it so we can run the service. The platform itself, including its design, software and brand, belongs to us and our licensors and may not be copied without permission.

8. Third parties and AI tools

We offer optional AI features, such as CV parsing and tailoring. These are tools to assist you, and you remain responsible for reviewing anything you submit to an employer. We are not liable for hiring decisions made by employers.

9. Disclaimers and liability

We work hard to keep the platform accurate and safe, but we provide it "as is". We do not guarantee that any job is genuine, that any employer will respond, or that you will be hired. Employers are independent of us and we are not a party to any employment relationship.

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the platform at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, are used for fraud, or harm other users, and we may remove any content at our discretion.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Questions, complaints and notices should be raised through a support ticket, which gives you a tracked, written response from our team.
