Privacy Policy
Last updated 6 July 2026
Your CV and personal details are private. This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and the rights you have under Nigerian data protection law.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how JobBoard.ng, operated by Bolrach Technologies Limited, collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data. We handle your data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the guidance of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
By using the platform you agree to the handling of your data as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. What we collect
We collect the information you give us and some technical information automatically:
- •Account and identity data from Authvio when you sign in, such as your name and email.
- •Profile and CV data you add: work experience, education, skills, location and documents you upload.
- •Application data: the jobs you apply to, cover letters and answers to employer questions.
- •Employer data: company details, RC number and verification documents, if you post jobs.
- •Usage and device data: pages you view, searches, IP address and browser, used to run and secure the service.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to provide the service and keep it safe. That includes matching you to jobs, showing your application to employers you apply to, sending you job alerts and account emails, powering optional AI tools you choose to use, verifying employers, detecting fraud and scams, and meeting our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Lawful basis
Under the NDPA we rely on: your consent (for example, job alert emails, which you can turn off); the performance of our agreement with you (running your account and applications); our legitimate interests (keeping the platform secure and preventing scams); and legal obligations where they apply.
5. Who we share it with
We share your data only where needed to run the service:
- •With an employer when you apply to their job. They see your profile, CV and answers.
- •With Authvio, our shared identity provider, for secure sign-in.
- •With trusted service providers who host our systems, send our emails and process AI requests, under agreements that require them to protect your data.
- •Where required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
When you apply to a job, that action cannot be undone once the employer has received it. Choose your applications with care.
6. AI processing
If you use our AI features, such as CV parsing, tailoring or the ATS checker, the relevant text is sent to our AI provider to generate the result and is not used to train their public models. You always review the output before it is used in an application.
7. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. If you close your account we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep some records to meet legal, security or fraud-prevention obligations.
8. Your rights
Under the NDPA you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, and request a copy of your data. You can edit most of your information directly in your dashboard. For anything else, open a support ticket and we will action your request.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission if you believe your data has been mishandled.
9. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. Uploaded documents are stored privately and served over secure links. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique login and tell us at once if you notice anything suspicious on your account.
10. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies that are needed to sign you in, keep your session and keep the platform secure. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
11. Children
The platform is for adults of working age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will remove it.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time and will change the date above when we do. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, open a support ticket, which gives you a tracked, written response from our team.
